If you really want to avoid that, I suggest you turn on the Word Verification thing that Blogger now has. Save you a ton of time. (And those spammers can't read you picture anyway; they're automated Web bots.)

O-M-G... what an excellent post! I must spend half of my blog time thinking of ways to thwart the comment spammers and referrer spammers. I don't know why I bother. Is that what you're talking about, the advertising? Does the word verification thingy help?
Yes Dave, it's the damn spammers. I just turned on the word verification, HOPE IT WORKS!
I also hope I don't become some sick spammer's target.

yes, I hate that. But I think you're preaching to the choir. People who spam your blog don't read it & if they do read it, don't care.
