Up to Date

BACKFLASH
Updates on my past posts:

I decided to try to make friends with some of the mom's in my area, who's kids go to school with my kids. So far so good. I think that maybe all mom's are slightly insecure or intimidated about other mom's that they do not know.
And, once you make the effort to introduce yourself and set play-dates with eachother's kids, you get the opportunity to create a relationship. Who knows, you may have more in common with that person than you thought you would. So, I am trying to do this, we will see how it goes.

My garden is looking great. I will show a pick of it this week. If you have never tried a garden grown tomatoe, you should. They are so sweet and plump and juicy. Mmmm-mmmm!

I can't wait to go to my next concert. I think this time it will be the Rolling Stones! My husband loves that group and a concert is coming to town soon. Hope we can get tickets.

The
Crazy Frog is getting more and more popular. It is on the top 10 most popular music videos to watch, and is requested frequently by listeners to be played on the radio.

Guess who won the 2005 Tour de France. I bet you will never guess............well, if you really don't know who won, then I won't tell and you will have to find out for yourself.

And no, they do not taste like chicken. The wild turkeys in our neighborhood keep popping up once in a while, but mostly come out and about around Thanksgiving time for some odd reason.

WHAT'S NEW

I have decided that I have been neglecting this blog and it is high time I start writing some current stuff on here.

Two-1/2 more weeks till school starts for my kids and myself.
I am finishing my last year of school to become a Massage Therapist. I can't wait to start school again. I am actually excited to get back into a structured routine. Summer is great, but I can't wait to graduate and get my license to practice massage therapy.

And today I am a Great Aunt for the 4th time. My neice just had her 3rd baby today. He weighed in at 2 lbs and 4 ounces. He was about 3 months early and so far is doing great! I love my neice and hope the best for her new baby and family.

My Turkey Neighbors

Look who I saw wandering around the neighborhood yesterday. Usually I see them in walking around the neighborhood in adult groups of about 7 - 10. But this time we actually had the privelege of seeing the momma turkey with her little babies. They are pretty quiet, you would never be able to tell if they were around or not. My other neighbor June said that she saw them on my back porch. The mother was teaching her little ones how to fly up from the ground to my back porch railing. And one by one, they all flew up. Today, the mommy turkey was teaching her little ones how to fly up to a tall tree branch. And surprisingly did very well.
