Back to School

I can't believe that the weekend is over and it is back to school again. It was such a nice weekend, and now it's over - Waaaaaa! Oh well, I'm sure my brain could use some work.

By the way, I am going to school to become a
Professional Massage Therapist. I am finishing up my first year as a part-time student. After this summer I will have only one more year to go, Woo-hoo! My classes include Massage Technique, Physiology, Anatomy, Pathology, Skills and Dinamics, Perspectives on Bodywork, and others like how to develope my future Practice, etc. It is such a great school!

So, today I get to finish my part of a research report for my Anatomy class. The topic is
"Shin Splints". Exciting huh!
learning about shin splints is FUN!
Just a few more weeks of major testing and research projects and I am out for the summer!
What a beautiful beach!

Back to books for now. Hope ya all had a great Memorial Weekend!

Lightning

W ow, it has been a while sinse the last lightning storm. Right now, all I can hear outside are the LOUD booms of the thunder, and I can smell that fresh, wet cement smell. For all of you who know what I am talking about, I just love that fresh, wet cement smell. I've seen only one bolt of lightning so far, but the weather reports a lot more to come. I can't wait. I love lightning storms. Hope that my kids sleep well tonight. Posted by Hello

After the Haircut

It's Friday again, and I cannot believe all of the stuff that can happen within a one week period of time.

By the way, my hair cut looks great! The hair stylist was terrific! It was a one-on-one session, for an hour. I was able to ask him a lot of questions like,

  1. Why are you coming all the way up here to cut hair? A: To get a change of scenery from the Big City.
  2. I love your accent, where are you from? A: I lived in Ireland for about 10 years but I am originally from England.
  3. So, who's hair have you cut lately that I would know of? A: Well, I have cut Paris Hilton's, Paul McCartney's and Mrs. McCartney's hair most recently.
  4. Wow, how do you get become so well known as a hair stylist? A: Talent, the salon you work at, and PR.

The end result is that I am very happy and also most important is that my husband is very satisfied with the new look too.

It is Memorial Day weekend, the kids are out of school till Tuesday and I have nothing planned. Hmmm, maybe I will take part of Saturday to go outside and have some fun in the fresh air. It is actually supposed to stop raining today after a week's worth of down pour. And tomorrow, Saturday, is supposed to be nice and sunny. Woo-hoo!

Sunny days ahead

For now, I am off to clean times infinity.

My Lil Ambo

This is the life and log of my life. I'm a wife, a mother, a student. I love my family, my sanctuary, and my computer. Hee-hee! This is a day in the life of me.

Once upon a time, a little girl named Melissa grew up, a little too fast if you ask me, into a confused woman with raging hormones and lots of insecurity. (sound familiar?) Got pregnant, married, moved to 3 different States, then finally settled down here on the East Coast. Details of exactly where are left to be unknown.

So, that about sums up my past life, excluding all of the boring and not so boring details of my history. Now, onto my present life, which is just as entertaining as my past. I hope that by writing these journals of my life, I will be able to see more into who I am on a deeper level. And I hope that who ever chooses to read these diaries of my life, will be some what entertained.

The Day of My Haircut:

All three kids are out of the house, and I am doing absolutely nothing productive. I have not cleaned one room, washed one dish, or have started one load of laundry. If my husband calls from work to say "Hi" to me, which he normally does everyday, I will tell him that I have been busy all day and that I am currently doing something productive to help keep the house clean and oraganized. What have I done all day....hmmm, well I got the kids ready and off to school, picked up my youngest son's friend to come over and play, started writing this post, made lunch for my little boy and his friend, chatted with the friend's mother who came to pick him and my son up to continue their playdate as their house, and then ran back up here to finish typing this post. It is now 2 pm and I feel quite busy for doing absolutely no cleaning in my house. I have been having too much fun putting my new site from
Blogger together today, and I am sure I'll be up and running with the dishes and the laundry by tomorrow.

Oh yah, I'm getting my hair cut tonight by some guy who is really good (supposedly). He comes up once a month from the big city to cut hair at this really cute boutique in my town. Can't wait to see what he can do with my long locks. I will post you on the results. :)
